Our 42nd “Follow them Friday” features Anniek of Cuberdon & Macaron blogging in Dutch.

When did you start blogging?

Almost five years ago, in June 2010, I started a blog on skynetblogs.

How did you decide on the name of your blog?

The name of my blog had to have an original Flemish part (Cuberdon is a flemish candy) and a wink of the eye with a more trendy part (Macaron which is amous biscuit).

What was the title of your first ever blog post?

My first blogpost on a wordpress platform was ‘Eierkoeken met goei boter’

Do you prefer eating in or eating out?

No doubt : eating out!

What is your favourite dish to share?

Vogelnestjes, a typical Flemish meatball stuffed with a boiled egg served with fresh tomatosauce and mashed potatoes.

What is your favourite comfort food?

Gravad lacks, my favorite Swedish dish. Simple and divine. Purely served with honey-mustard sauce and bread.

What is your favourite dessert?

Hummingbird cake and all kind of cheesecakes

How do you like your eggs in the morning?

Fried eggs, sunny side up with smoked ham

Was there a particular dish that got you into cooking?

Not really, it was the Italian cuisine that got me into cooking.

What has been your biggest recipe failure?

In Cooking : forgetting spices and herbs in dishes.
In baking : forget to measure ingredients

What is your earliest food memory?

Eating homemade applesauce served on a slice of bread.

What are the three things you always have in your freezer?

Croissants, ice cubes, Ben & Jerry’s icecream.

How do you spend your time when you’re not blogging?

Cooking, reading, gardening, running and above all spending quality time with family and friends

Who are your favourite food bloggers?

Chocolate & Zucchini, David Lebovitz, Coolinary, Filet Pur, Avocado van de Duivel.

Who are your favourite non-food bloggers?

Mme Zsa Zsa, Tales from the crib
